Hydraulic/Mechanical Technician for Workshop and Offshore
Aberdeen / Offshore
In the workshop :
- Inspect, maintain and service hydraulically driven underwater systems
- Service and maintain all plant within the workshop i.e. compressors, forklifts overhead cranes etc.
- Prepare connections, hoses and power units for offshore operations
- Troubleshoot and respond to emergency outages
- Log information in the maintenance log sheets
- Liaise with the logistics department to obtain necessary parts and/or equipment.
- Source information from third party representatives as required.
- HSEQ & SEPA
- Follow procedures at all times, ensuring compliance by subordinate staff, address any concerns and take appropriate action in conjunction with procedures.
On Offshore Assignment as Operator :
- Run and maintain the ancillary equipment in good working conditions when in operation
- Assist and support the LO or PE/PS for the installation of the equipment when in operation
- Assist and support the the LO or PE/PS for the mobilization and demobilization of equipment
- Assist in maintenance, operational and training activities as directed by Lead Operator or Project Engineer/Supervisor
- Assist LO or PE/PS for equipment preparation and testing, maintenance, operational and training activities
- Assist and support the LO or PE/PS who will dictate the depth of his involvement in the specific cutting operation
